Abstract

The number of workers in Bengkulu Province in February 2024 was 1,116,138 people, down 14,035 people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) fell by 1.79 percentage points.

The working population is 1,080,744 people, a decrease of 13,109 people compared to February 2023. Employment that experienced the largest percentage increase compared to February 2023 was the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (1.88 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the largest decline was the Wholesale and Retail Trade Sector (3.15 percentage points).

A total of 697,181 people (64.51 percent) worked in informal activities, a decrease of 5.47 percentage points compared to February 2023.

The open unemployment rate (TPT) for February 2024 was 3.17 percent, down 0.04 percentage points compared to February 2023.

The percentage of underemployed workers increased by 0.80 percentage points, and the percentage of part-time workers increased by 1.63 percentage points compared to February 2023.
