Abstract

· In March 2023, year on year (yoy) Inflation in Bengkulu City was 5.65 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 114.22. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Tual at 7.49 percent with a CPI of 117.19 and the lowest occurred in Merauke at 3.17 percent with a CPI of 112.59.

· Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.45 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.82 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.95 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 3.92 percent; the health group by 5.71 percent; transportation group by 14.03 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.17 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 5.45 percent; the education group by 3.26 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.94 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 3.78 percent.

· The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for the city of Bengkulu in March 2023 was 0.25 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate in March 2023 was 0.92 percent.
