Abstract

In March 2020, Bengkulu City experienced a deflation of 0.02 percent. The deflation in Bengkulu City in March 2020 occurred due to a price decline which was indicated by a decrease in most of the expenditure group index, namely: the health group by 0.26 percent; the transportation group by 0.55 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.22 percent. While the groups experiencing inflation were the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.09 percent; clothing and footwear group of 0.07 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuels by 0.03 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.04 percent the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent; education group by 0,00 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0,00 percent and the personal care and other services group by 1,12 percent. With deflation of 0.02 percent in March 2020, the magnitude of calendar year inflation (inflation rate) of 0, 21 percent, and annual inflation (year on year) was 2.42 percent.
