Abstract

Quarter IV-2019 Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in Bengkulu Province is 104.83. Illustrates that consumer perceptions of economic conditions in the fourth quarter of 2019 are optimistic and have increased compared to the previous quarter (index 99.17).

An optimistic consumer perception of economic conditions is caused by an increase in current income (index 100.83) and the volume of consumption of goods / services (index 105.73), as well as inflation that has less effect on total household expenditure (index 111.62).

Bengkulu Province ITK in the first quarter of 2020 is estimated to be pessimistic with an index value of 91.46. This indicates that consumers' perceptions of economic conditions are not so good.

Consumer pessimism in quarter IV-2019 was influenced by the contraction in the purchase of durable goods (index 76.38). Even though the household income actually increased (index 100.07).
