Abstract

In January 2020, Bengkulu City experienced Inflation of 0.14 percent. The inflation in Bengkulu City in January 2020 was due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most of the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.86 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity and other fuels by 0.00 percent; household appliances, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.15 percent; health group of 0.26 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.10 percent; education group by 0,00 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.20 percent and the personal care and other services group by 0.28 percent. Whereas the deflated group was the transportation group by 0.93 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.15 percent. With inflation of 0.14 percent in January 2020, the magnitude of inflation in the calendar year (inflation rate) of 0.14 percent, and year-on-year inflation was recorded at 2.17 percent.
