Abstract

  • In January 2019 the city of Bengkulu experienced inflation of 0.88 percent. Based on monitoring by the Central Statistics Agency in 82 cities in Indonesia, 73 cities experienced inflation and 9 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.23 percent and the lowest inflation in Pematang Siantar was 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Tual by -0.87 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Merauke at -0.01 percent.
  • City of Bengkulu inflation in January 2019 occurred in six expenditure groups and one stable expenditure group. The expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation was the health expenditure group that experienced inflation of 3.90 percent, followed by transportation, communication and financial services expenditure of 1.95 percent, food expenditure group by 0.86 percent, clothing expenditure group by 0, 39 percent, processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco expenditure by 0.27 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.27 percent and education, recreation and sports groups which are stable at 0.00 percent .
