Abstract

The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) for quarter III-2018 in Bengkulu Province was 98.03. Describing that consumer perceptions of economic conditions in the third quarter of 2018 were pessimistic when compared to the previous quarter (index 100.81).

Consumer perceptions of pessimistic economic conditions were caused by declining household income (index 97.84) and volume of consumption of goods / services (index 96.49). While inflation has less effect on total household expenditure (index 99.61).

The ITK of Bengkulu Province in the fourth quarter of 2018 is estimated to be pessimistic with an index value of 92.23. This indicates that consumer perceptions of economic conditions are predicted to be poor.

Consumer pessimism in the fourth quarter of 2018 was influenced by a decline in estimates of household income (index 99.08) and contracted purchases of durable goods (index 80.23).
