In his presentation Plt. The Head of BPS said that inflation occurred at the start of Ramadan and Idul Fitri. The main food commodities causing inflation in February 2024 are rice, red chilies, purebred chicken eggs and purebred chicken meat. "If we look at the peaks that have occurred historically, the peak of inflation occurs in the month of Ramadan or Idul Fitri and at the end of the year. "Therefore, as we approach March and April 2024, of course we will start anticipating from the start, so that later in the month of Ramadan and Hari Raya this year, hopefully inflation pressure will not be too great compared to last year," said Amalia.
