Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency Submits Results of Economic Census 2016

Thursday (15/6) Chief Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency, Tina Wahyufitri, S.Si, M.Si submitted the results of Economic Census 2016 (SE2016) in the form of booklets and leaflets to the Regional Government of Bengkulu Tengah Regency. The arrival of Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency received by the Regional Secretariat of Central Bengkulu, Muzakir.S.Sos, MM in the meeting room of the regent.

At the event that also attended by the Chief of Agency for Regional Development Planning and Chief of Regional Office of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives, the Chief Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the regent and his staff who have participated in the success of this SE2016 Listing activity. With this activity Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency would like to contribute to enrich the statistical information result of Listing SE2016 to local government of Bengkulu Tengah Regency.

Listing SE2016 has been done in May-June 2016 simultaneously in Indonesia with the registration of business activities/companies all non-agricultural business fields. Registration is carried out using two kinds of questionnaires, ie SE2016-L1 and SE2016-L2 lists are used to register all businesses/households on permanent locations and non-permanent locations such as merchant businesses in market areas, shops, traveling traders, etc.

From Listing Result SE2016 recorded the number of businesses in Bengkulu Tengah Regency reached 10.787 consisting of 10,726 MSEs and 61 UMB with total workforce reached 23,257 people. As for the category of business field, the most dominate is the category of Large and Retail Trade and Repair and Care of Cars and Motorcycles which reached 54.95% or a total of 5927 businesses of the total business.

Furthermore, the Chief Statistics of Bengkulu Tengah Regency also said that the Census of Advanced Economy will be conducted on August to September 2017, which will record the medium and large business units and micro and small business units (SE2016-UMBUMK). This SE2016-UMBUMK activity will be recorded in more detail than SE2016 which is only as `listing` so that later the result can be utilized to know business profile in Central Bengkulu Regency, which can be used as material for macro economic activity planning and data which will be used as survey reference next.
